Chlorine or no chlorine?

This is the most popular question among pool owners. However, this question should not scare you. Diklor Super , like any other chemical product for swimming pools, must be used properly. Perhaps it is better to say: dose! It is clear that chlorine is the most powerful agent capable of guaranteeing bacteriologically pure water. And for both public and private pools, it is a must! So, let's start thinking about doing without salt or osmosis sanitization systems and the various magmapools and ionisers.

In our case, Diklor Shock , to be stabilized and last in your pool, among the various agents, has "isocyanurates", capable, over time (even if we can easily think in the long term) of removing oxygen from the water. As regards, however, classic outdoor pools, the problem of oxygenation, with the correct and constant checks, does not arise, and all the appropriate tools exist to prevent water saturation.

But when should you use granular chlorine in your swimming pool?

Granular chlorine should only be used in exceptional cases, for example at the opening of the pool or after a storm. Or after a pool party with many people, who we have had as guests in our body of water.

It must be used, when necessary, always and only with the pH stabilized and with the system turned on for 24 hours after dosing. To maintain active and certified disinfection, the Tablok Shock multifunction tablets are recommended. Granular chlorine is the main chemical product for disinfecting swimming pool water. Granular chlorine is ideal for shock treatments / superchlorination / shock treatments but can also be used when the water has stabilized for maintenance, with much lower dosages.

Chlorine kills all harmful microorganisms that accumulate in the water, which is why it is important to monitor it using special test kits.

This, in addition to balancing the pH value, is the most important treatment for a swimming pool. Adequate, frequent and constant chlorination is a fundamental condition for safe water disinfection. A correct pH value (7.2-7.4) and a correct free chlorine content (06-1.0 ppm) will guarantee you pure, healthy and crystalline water.

The chlorine introduced, depending on the pH value and the organic substances present in the water, will tend to form combined chlorine, the real cause of both the "chlorine smell" and the burning sensation in the eyes and mucous membranes. This unpleasant problem occurs mainly when the chlorine dosage is insufficient; in fact, to eliminate it, a shock dosage of chlorine is most often necessary.
Correct chlorination must be addressed with valid and specific products, even if with different physical characteristics. The choice of both the product and the chlorination system can be made based on both the type of pool and the filtration system.

GRANULAR CHLORINE 56/63%

Applications: Dicloro 63 is a stabilized chlorine with rapid solubility to be used for the disinfection of swimming pool water. A product with high stability to photolysis and evaporation, it develops an acidic chlorine solution with consequent reduction in the consumption of the acid corrector. Chlorine, in addition to disinfection, also performs an oxidizing function, thus eliminating non-filterable organic substances.

Use and doses: Chlorine 63 can be used manually or mechanically, by means of a dosing pump connected to a small tank containing the chlorine and water solution.

Dosage : Maintain the chlorine content between 1.3 and 1.5 ppm (2 to 2.4 g/cubic meter of 56/63% sodium dichloroisocyanurate).
Shock treatment (break point): from 5 to 10 ppm depending on the concentration of combined chlorine (from 8.4 to 16.5 g/cubic meter)

Consumption : Consumption can vary from 1 to 3 ppm depending on the temperature, the nature of the make-up water and the frequency of use of the system.

Composition : Chlorine

Warnings and information notes: Store in a dry and ventilated place. Keep packages sealed and away from other chemicals. Handle with adequate eye and respiratory protection.
