Jbay.Zone Challenge Comet WJ2 Sup - Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board

The WINDSUP COMET WJ2 JBAY.ZONE is made up of two overlapping layers of high-resistance Laminated PVC, heat-sealed together, using 2LF Fusion technology, which allows you to obtain an inflatable board with performance comparable to that of a rigid SUP, with excellent weight support. The heat-sealing process, without the use of glue between the two layers of material, ensures a reduction in the total weight of the board of up to 25% less than a standard Double-Layer Stand up Paddle, significantly increasing its resistance, rigidity and durability over time. The use of heat-sealing is also more environmentally sustainable, eliminating chemical residues and the use of solvents that would normally be used with glue.

Drop-Stitch technology was used for the internal structure which, thanks to thousands of fabric filaments welded to the ends of the laminated PVC, makes the COMET WJ2 Stand Up Paddle become rigid and resistant once the ideal pressure of 18PSI is reached, supporting the rider's weight perfectly.

The Rail is reinforced by an extra layer of laminated PVC for greater safety and resistance to any impacts, furthermore, on the central part of the deck, thanks to the RRT Reinforced Rail Technology, the part of the board most subject to stress during use of the board is further reinforced, with the addition of a third layer of laminated PVC.

Being able to practice Stand Up Paddling and Windsurfing with the same board is the great advantage of the Windsup COMET WJ2. A comfortable Deck for exploration excursions and sail support to enjoy wind and waves when necessary are the prerogative of endless fun.

The Wind SUP COMET WJ2 is compatible with the JSAIL sail and with most sails on the market. In the center of the board there is a special housing to screw the mast foot of the sail, with M8 thread, and enjoy the waves and the wind just like on a Windsurf. It is advisable to use sails max 3m².

The two removable central fins placed on the same axis, one in the center of the bottom and one on the tail, provide excellent maneuverability in light to moderate currents. The two side fins are also removable, so you can use the SUP in different conditions by choosing the most suitable configuration for the situation.

The COMET WJ2 SUP features an EVA Foam cover on the central part of the deck to provide extra support to the rider in different conditions of use. The Pad rises near the tail of the board to create a Kickpad, useful for better control of the SUP to perform pivots or quick turns.

The 4 fins provided for the SUP COMET WJ2, as anticipated, are all removable. They are divided into 2 central Slide Fins (one at the sail attachment and one on the tail) and 2 lateral fins with Click Fin type attachment. To secure the lateral fins to the box, a special key is provided.

The valve used by JBAY.ZONE for the SUP WJ2 is of the High Pressure type with a bayonet connection to connect the Bravo® Pump supplied in complete safety, optimising air insufflation operations and avoiding the risk of unexpected pressure losses.

This model also features D-rings along the perimeter of the Deck, useful for connecting accessories such as the safety leash or the specific seat for transforming the stand up paddle into a kayak.
